A group of Lanarkshire songwriters are coming together to perform a night of Woodie Guthrie songs to mark Woody”s 100th birthday.
The event takes place at Airdrie”s Sir John Wilson Town Hall on Saturday 13th October from 7.30pm.
This evening of musical entertainment celebrates the music of Woody Guthrie, a singer and songwriter who has influenced the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springstein and Bono.
Performed by songwriters from throughout Lanarkshire including Peter Nardini, Tom Clelland, Haggerdash, Rudeigin, and Dave Gibb, the event is supported by Stonehouse Folk Club, Clydesdale Folk Club, Newmains Acoustic Music Club and Lanarkshire Songwriters Group.
