Stevie Connor presents a very special edition of Wee Dan’s Hoose on Monday 28th October from 10pm.
Stevie says: “I recorded live interviews from Folk Music Ontario 2013 (formerly Ontario Council of Folk Festivals) from here in Mississauga, Canada. The whole show is dedicated to the artists who were at the conference and I have included some of the interviews I did with some huge award winners and prominent people in the Canadian Industry.”
During the programme Stevie talks to the following artists:
Lindsay May – Singer-songwriter from Vancouver.
Randy MacNeil from Cape Breton – Canada’s top music photographer who has just released a book which is a piece of Canadian history. Stevie is the first host to have interviewed him about the book anywhere in the world.
David Leask – Multi Award winning Singer-songwriter originally from Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. Stevie plays two tracks from his album to be released on November 3rd – both world premieres.
Poor Angus – A Celtic folk band from Ontario just signed to Borealis Records here and about to launch the press release. They gave Stevie an exclusive interview.
And our own Craig Mills, host of The Eastern Passage programme on Blues & Roots Radio one of the foremost East Coast Canadian music programmes in Canada.
