Hi folks ! on tonight’s show between 8-9 will have some of the fantastic ‘Coquet Vallley Bairns’ and their brand new CD and a poem from the local dialect poetry competition. Also an interview with the one and only James Tait – poet / singer songwriter and excellent tutor in the wonderful local dialect of the Coquet Valley, who has put this CD together from some of the schools he teaches local dialect in!

This is a fantastic project to bring the local dialect back into prominence where it belongs and James has been hired by the Rothbury Traditional Music Festival to go round the schools tutoring the children in the dialect and encouraging them to write poetry, sing and recite in the Coquet Valley dialect – James will tell you more about it in his interview
The Front cover of the CD was drawn by Hannah Ridley and the trac Cupcakes and Rainbows was written by Talitha Sharrocks
