Written by celtic music radio on March 4, 2024
Glasgow-based Roo Geddes and Neil Sutcliffe create stunning music for violin and accordion with classical, folk and jazz explored to create senses of place and community.
The hugely talented duo, who are embarking on a tour in May to celebrate their 10th year of performing together, will be guests of Liz Clark on Travels With Auntie Liz this week – Tuesday, March 4 from 8 pm.
Music from their debut album, Homeland – Celtic Music Radio’s Album of the Week in May 2022 – will feature on the show as well as new compositions, carrying on with favoured themes of nature, trees and landscapes.
Roo and Neil are very busy artists: they are involved in solo projects, both are tutors and they also gig all over the world.
They received a Danny Kyle Award in 2021 and Up And Coming Artist of the Year at the MG Alba Scottish Trad Awards in 2022.
