Connor Lamb and Deirdre Galway from Belfast band, Réalta will be in conversation on this evening’s Travels With My Auntie Liz Show.
They are involved in an intriguing new release titled ‘The Leap’ that combines Réalta’s music with spoken word from Anne McMaster and art by Peter Crann.
Réalta
The Leap tells the legendary story of how the faithful hound of an Ó Catháin chief leapt a gorge on the River Roe to muster help during a Norman attack and gave the town of Limavady its name (Léim an Mhadaidh – ‘The Dog’s Leap’).
Réalta first came to Liz’s attention when they took part in and won a Danny Kyle Open Stage Award at Celtic Connections back in 2012, since when they have released two very successful albums.
