Celebrated musician RON JAPPY is this week’s guest on Travels With My Auntie Liz – Tuesday, March 26.

Ron is halfway through his Scottish tour that’s focused on the music of his debut album ‘Vincular,’ a Celtic Music Radio Album of the Week in April 2021.

He is on the road with a 10-piece band, which includes many of the artists who appeared on the album including Ainsley Hamill, Scott Wood, Jodie Bremaneson, Mark Scobbie, Mhairi Mackinnon, Euan Malloch and Grant McFarlane.

Ron has also had local artists support his shows and there are four to go:

Thursday 28 March 2024 – Stonehaven – Town Hall ?

Friday 29 March 2024 – Findochty – Town Hall

Saturday 30 March 2024 – Edinburgh – Mash House

Sunday 31 March 2024 – Glasgow – The Rum Shack

In a career spanning over a decade, Ron has travelled extensively with his music, performing across the UK, America, Bahrain, Indonesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and the UAE.

He has collaborated with a plethora of established artists, including Claire Hastings, Iona Fyfe, Jamie Smith’s Mabon, Joy Dunlop, Mànran, Rachel Hair, Skerryvore, and the Scott Wood Band.

He will be chatting with Liz Clark in the second half of this week’s show, which is on from 8 to 10 pm.
