Colin Hay, lead singer with the 80’s band ‘Men at Work’ is Scottish born Australian musician. Colin born in Kilwinning in Ayrshire Col
in and his family moved to Australia in 1967 when he was just 14, he hooked up with Ron Strykert when he was 25 and the duo formed the core of ‘Men at Work’ , debut album released in 1981 and continued their success worldwide with awards galore from Grammy in 1983 -Best New Artist / ARIA Music Award 1994 / Inducted into Hall of Fame / and 30 million album sales
After Men at Work in 1985 Colin launched out on a very successful solo career with 13 albums to date including new release of ‘Fierce Mercy’ (Celtic Music Radio’s Album of the Week). As well as writing music for TV series and acting in various televisions shows & films from Jack Irish / The Wild Raw Silk /Heaven’s Bringing to name but a few as well as on several episodes of Scrubs !
Colin is currently on tour promoting his new album and you can see him live at Glasgow Old Fruitmarket on Monday 3 April 2017
