Studio Guest – Lori McTear (8pm) and Pauline Alexander (9pm)– Fri 29th Sept on ‘Thank Folk It’s Friday’ with Ross Macfadyen  8-10 (lucky man!)

Listen Again:-
1st Hour

 2nd Hour

Glasgow singer Songwriter Lori McTear while at Bannerman High School pupil took up playing the guitar when she was 14, and started writing her own songs almost immediately, being taught at the Bridge in Easterhouse. Now her folk and country-tinged style is earning praise from all who hear it, and she’s already being tipped to follow in the footsteps of Scottish songstresses such as Amy Macdonald and KT Tunstall.

But it was that first live performance in George Square at the tender age of 15 that really gave this young singer songwriter  the musical calling! She was hooked and has continued to captivate audiences where ever she performs.
Gigging widely through the City

You can hear more of her music on Soundcloud

Glasgow lass Pauline Alexander is a firm favourite with all presenters at Celtic Music Radio as well as with Folk Clubs and festivals throughout Scotland and further afield! From solo gigs to with duo’s with the likes of renowned guitarist Sandy Stanage she has supported acts from Dougie MacLean and Shelagh McDonald to hosting her own Burns Supper.  Have several nominations and awards for her  singing  and her well received and acclaimed debut album ‘ Throughts For The Masses’  which she has aired on ‘other’ radio / TV  shows from STV  Glasgow to The Phil Mack Country Show, Iain Anderson, Frank Hennesey’s Celtic Heartbeat, Colum Sand’s Folk Show, Genevieve Tudor’s Sunday Folk, Gordon Swindlehurst’s Show and Dean Jackson’s The Beat and Mike Harding – not to mention ! ‘Thank Folk It’s Friday’!
