Studio Guest Barrie Kelly with Danny Matheson from 8-10pm on Mon 2 Dec 2019

Barrie Kelly

Tune into It’s all about Folk  with Danny Matheson from 8 – 10pm on Mon 2 Dec 2019 when his studio guest will be Barrie Kelly and they will be chatting about his debut solo album ‘Godd of Small Mercies’. Barry was for many years with the very popular Ten Gallon Bratz
Ten Gallon Bratz – Barrie Kelly (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keyboards, bouzouki), Mark Dunsmore (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica, dobro), Michael Lyden (vocals, acoustic guitar, bass), Brian Sinclair (drums), Stephen Power (electric guitar, acoustic guitar), Alan Lindsay

Ten Gallon Bratz hail from Greenock in the west of Scotland and their music is broadly based in the Americana tradition where glorious three part harmonies are seamlessly combined with infectious hooks and intelligent lyrics.
In an effort to get their music to the widest possible audience Ten Gallon Bratz adapt their performance to encompass intimate three-piece acoustic sessions and the full blown five-piece band experience.
This plurality of performing and writing styles is reflected in the diversity of their recorded music. The band has produced a number of CDs ranging from their initial thirteen track acoustic offering entitled “Ghost Stories”, through the hybrid acoustic/full band tour de force second album “The Wilderness” to their latest offering “Tales From The Long Shadows” recorded with long time Del Amitri and Eddie Reader producer, Mark Freegard.
While performing at many of the UK’s finest music venues Ten Gallon Bratz have had the privilege of providing support for some of the  industries finest live performers. They have also performed on a number of occasions at Glasgow’s famous Celtic Connections festival.
