Written by celtic music radio on November 26, 2024
Celtic Music Radio has been named as one of the top 100 stations in the UK for the number of followers it has attracted.
The Top TuneIn free streaming service industry survey out today shows us in 91st place with 48,293 followers.
It is a remarkable achievement considering 560 stations are on the list, which is headed, not surprisingly, by BBC Radio 4.
It is a testament to the quality of our programming and the hard work our music-loving volunteers put in to produce and present shows, supported by an excellent technical team, whose expertise makes it all happen.

Alex Jenkins, chair of our board of directors, said: “It really is brilliant news for Celtic Music Radio.
“With 48,293 followers and coming 91st on a 560-strong list, we are in extremely highly rated company without a doubt.
“To be placed in the top 100 in this highly regarded survey is an accolade to savour and something every single volunteer can be rightly proud of.
“The dedication of all volunteers is the key to our success, allied to our on-going effort to provide listeners with a variety of first-class programmes.
“The survey result is a clear indication that the station is very well-regarded in the radio industry.”
We reach an audience of around 105,000 and our web stream is listened to in 104 separate countries.
We recently started DAB services in Inverclyde, following on from successful DAB launches in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
