Station Presenter Up For Prestige Music Prize
Written by celtic music radio on November 8, 2021
One of Celtic Music Radio’s newest presenters is in the running for the Citty Finlayson Scots Singer of the Year Award.
Cameron Nixon, our youngest volunteer, has been nominated in this category, which is sponsored by Traditional Music and Song Association in the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2021.
Aberdeen-born Cameron is an accomplished singer and an acclaimed fiddle player who has performed at home and overseas.
“To be nominated for such an award is really exciting,” said Cameron.
“I love singing and performing so if I win it will feel like an endorsement of what I do and prove that people enjoy my music.”
Cameron has settled in well to his presenting role at the station.
“Exploring the world of radio has been an eye opener and I am having a great time with Celtic Music Radio,” he said.
