Skelpt Launching Debut Album Live from Braehead

Scots folk trio SKELPT are are in fiery form in this video.
And they will be equally impressive when taking to the stage this weekend (SUNDAY, MAY 5) to launch their 11-track, debut album “Ersten.”
Celtic Music Radio will be there to broadcast their special show LIVE from Curry’s at the Braehead Shopping Centre on Sunday.
It is FREE to attend with all donations going to Celtic Music Radio.
Skelpt are Andrew Gordon (vocals, guitar, bodhran); Euan Johnston (vocals bodhran) and Iain Anderson (fiddle, vocals) and they got together in 2023 for this new venture to work hard on creating an energetic set of music suitable for the biggest festivals and smallest clubs.
They each have over 30 years’ experience in performing and play all over Scotland and Europe.
Their red-hot blend of songs and tunes, centres around powerful vocals and foot stomping fiddle tunes with rhythmic accompaniment provided by guitar and bodhran.
“Whether we’re playing at a concerts or festivals in Scotland or further afield, each performance has our energetic take on trad folk — songs we love singing and tunes we love playing,” they say.
Support on the day will come from station presenter, Martin Stephen Jones whose music is appealing to more and more people.
“This promises to be a terrific gig,” said Alex Jenkins, chair of the board of directors at CMR.
“Curry’s have generously provided the venue so it’s a great location for an album launch with top quality live music guaranteed.
“Skelpt are first-rate musicians who really know hot entertain with passion and style – so we are hoping for a big audience for what will be an exciting event.”
