Single Release by Kara Conway on 2nd October 2020
- NEWS – Release – Bold choice for Kara Conway new single – ‘BOLD’ on 2nd Oct 2020
Singer/songwriter Kara Conway firmly supports people who are not scared to stand up for what they believe is right.
She uses this view as the theme of her latest single, titled “Bold,” that she is releasing on Friday, 2nd October across all major streaming platforms.
- “The song is about using your voice and standing up for what you believe in,” said the 24-year-old from Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow. “I originally planned to bring out ‘Bold’ around the time of the United Nations’ Climate Change conference that was due to happen in Glasgow this November, as the song has undertones of the climate change movement in it .”Bold” is the third single from Kara’s debut EP, “This Life,” which came out self-released in June. Two other tracks – the Dr Who-inspired “Two Hearts” and “These Roads” with its theme of cars in literature – are also available.
With the Climate Change conference a victim of the Covid19 pandemic conference Kara has changed the look of the videos she wanted to make. “Working with Vivid Affect Productions we have created a lyric video in the first instance that focuses on the idea of protecting and believing in your voice,” said Kara, who hosts an hour-long, Sunday morning show on Celtic Music Radio, featuring a mixture of music from up and coming to established artists. “The lyric video involves a delicate flame at the centre of it that is threatened by shadows and water throughout the song. It is momentarily diminished but ultimately grows to be joined by other flames. “We hope it will have a simple but striking effect. ”Kara also hopes to film a second music video for “Bold” in the near future.
- The EP “This Life” was produced by Derek O’Neill and mastered by Paul Savage at Chem19 Studios. “Bold” by Kara Conway will be self-released on Friday, October 2. It will be available via major platforms including Amazon music, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube, Google Play, and Tidal
