On this week’s Ceòl ’s Craic on Monday, 14 April at 6.00pm, Ishbel Murray will have the hugely talented Gaelic singer/songwriter Alasdair Whyte from Mull as a guest.
Alasdair is currently a PhD student at Glasgow University where he teaches Gaelic and Celtic Civilisation. His album ‘Las’ which came out in 2012 was described as “…the best debut album from a Gaelic artist in years…. a beautiful, beguiling and irresistible mix of tradition and innovation.”

Also coming into Ceòl ’s Craic will be Alison Ni Dhorchaidhe (pictured) from Dublin who came to Scotland to research and study Argyle Gaelic and to become actively involved in promoting Gaelic.

She was recently appointed by Commun na Gàidhlig as Gaelic Youth and Communities Officer and is based at Glasgow Gaelic school.
Alison also organises the Gaelic cèilidh event ‘An Gealbhan’ which is held weekly at the Argyll Hotel, 973 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
