Tha Jo a-nis ag obair air a ceann fhèin mar neach-rannsachaidh, sgrìobhaiche, eadar-theangadair agus craoladair ach chuir i seachad bliadhnaichean mòra ag obair aig ìre àrd aig a’ BhBC a’ cruthachadh raon farsaing de sàr-phrograman Gàidhlig airson telebhisean agus rèidio.

A bharrachd air an sin bha i aig teis-mheadhain obair leasachaidh Bhòrd na Gàidhlig. Tha sinn a’ gabhail fiughar ri a bhith ann an cuideachd Jo angus Muldoon’s Picnic – mar sin nach tig sibh còmhla rinn Diluain eadar 6 is 7f Diluain air 95FM no air loidhne air www.celticmusicradio.net

According to their biography we can expect a selection of unaccompanied songs ranging from the

sublime to the ridiculous. Their repertoire which includes folk-songs, world music, shanties, spirituals and original arrangements of traditional song from around the world, from authentic to experimental is presented with a sense of fun that has won hearts throughout the UK.

Our special Gaelic speaking guest on Monday is Jo MacDonald, a native Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Lewis now employed as a freelance researcher, writer, translator and broadcaster.

Jo worked at the BBC at a senior level for many years producing an impressive range of Gaelic programmes. She also took a central role in the work of Bòrd na Gàidhlig.
