Nikki Wins Top DJ Award

Presenter Nikki Lyle has been named ‘DJ of the Year’ in the Country Gigs Scotland Awards for 2022.
Her weekly Monday show Nikki At Noon is a sparkling mix with tracks from Scottish bands old and new, fun Scottish facts and stories, and loads of up-to-the-minute info for music lovers.
Nikki, who has been presenting her show for the station for almost four years, said: “I am totally gobsmacked but very pleased and really, I can’t thank those who voted for me enough.
“I love doing the show and it’s pleasing that so many folk like what’s offered every Monday. I love promoting music, as I call it, from my doorstep. There is so much talent nearby. The teenagers who need support and to be heard is what I love.
“I’m also part of a great team at Celtic Music Radio who have helped me so much – so I am grateful to them as well.”
Chair of the station’s board of directors, Alex Jenkins, added: “This is a top and well-deserved accolade for Nikki, who presents quality programmes.
“It’s also a smashing boost for the station to have another award winner as we push on with providing the best schedule of shows possible every day.”
