Manic Monday with Juvan moved to Mondays from 2nd March 2020 between 3-5pm.
Joining him this Monday 2nd March is Amelia Boyle from Gigsafe in Glasgow
Amelia is coming to speak about what GigSafe is, the new campaign that is creating a sense of security for vulnerable groups at live events. She will also talk about why the project is needed – GigSafe is a project that helps to prevent harassment at live events, whether that be sexual harassment or discrimination, and will help to promote a general sense of security. Through communication with live music venues, we set up help desks at events that are approachable and friendly. We will provide an ear and help you in any way we can with any personal safety issues. We fully involve the venue staff in what we are dealing with, working together making gigs a warmer and safer environment for everyone
She has recently turned 19 and is in 3rd year, studying the commercial music course at UWS in Ayr, after doing her HNC and HND at WCS in Paisley. Other than GigSafe Amelia spends her extra time either attending gigs or practicing with her band-who will hopefully be gigging soon.
