Celtic Music Radio will be at the Lomond Folk Festival 2013 which takes place over the weekend of Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July 2013 at the Moss o’ Balloch Park, Balloch, Dunbartonshire at the southern edge of Loch Lomond and the gateway to the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
Now in its 14th consecutive year, the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever with plenty of free music, workshops and events for the whole family alongside headline evening concerts featuring some of the best folk artists from around the country.
The JSD Band are just one of the many fabulous bands lined up for the 2013 Lomond Folk Festival. This is a rare chance to see the legendary and influential Scottish Celtic and folk rock band.
They will be playing on Sunday evening 28 July 2013 along with Shooglenifty and the Raggle Taggle Gypsies.
On Saturday 27 July there will be the Open Stage in the Festival Bar from 12 noon until 6.00pm broadcast live on Celtic Music Radio. The Saturday night headline concert in the Moss o’ Balloch Marquee features Wolfstone with support from Drever, McGuire, Young and also The Daddy Naggins.
On Sunday afternoon 28 July there will be another free-entry Open Stage session from 12 noon until 6.00pm with a range of performers and bands in the Festival Bar.
The Lomond Folk Festival closes on Sunday night on a high with an Evening Concert from 7.30pm until midnight in the Moss o’ Balloch Park Marquee featuring Shooglenifty with support from The JSD Band and The Raggle Taggle Gypsies.
There will also be impromptu sessions in the local Balloch pubs including The Tullie Inn and The Dog House plus craft fairs and market stands.
