Celtic Music Radio will be ‘live’ from the Lomond Folk Festival 2013 this weekend on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July 2013 at the Moss o’ Balloch Park, Balloch, Dunbartonshire at the southern edge of Loch Lomond.
Now in its 14th consecutive year, the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever with plenty of free music, workshops and events for the whole family alongside headline evening concerts featuring some of the best folk artists from around the country.
The hot and sunny summer has continued with blue skies and sunshine over Loch Lomond. Celtic Music Radio has its caravan (pictured today, Saturday) parked close to the entry to Moss o’ Balloch Park with presenters Liz Clark, Gordon Hotchkiss, Alex Jenkins, Ross Macfadyen with guests, visitors, interviews and live sessions from 12 noon until 5.00pm on Saturday and from 2.00 – 7.00pm on Sunday.
The JSD Band are just one of the many fabulous bands lined up for the 2013 Lomond Folk Festival. This is a rare chance to see the legendary and influential Scottish Celtic and folk rock band.
They will be playing on Sunday evening 28 July 2013 along with Shooglenifty and the Raggle Taggle Gypsies.
The 14th Lomond Folk Festival launches on Friday evening, 26 July, with a Ceilidh featuring The Iain Anderson Ceilidh Band and The Young Folk from 7.30pm until midnight.
