Canadian singer Miss Quincy is in town next week for a gig at The Ferry, Glasgow on Sunday 1 April and she travels to Edinburgh on Wednesday 4 April to play Whistlebinkies.
Before that she will visit studio 1 at Celtic Music Radio on Monday afternoon, 2 April on the Homeward Bound programme for a live session and chat with Bill Morris.
Miss Quincy’s has a new album and a hot new band. The album is called Like The Devil Does is which is Miss Quincy’s second full length album and is a “…moody collection of songs filled with dirty guitar licks, sweet gospel harmonies, swampy grooves, and stories of old time deal breakers.”
Miss Quincy and producer, Canadian roots and blues legend Tim Williams, set out to create an album with the gritty sound of tube amps, a tight rhythm section, and a band playing live-off-the-floor.
This year also marks the debut of Miss Quincy’s smokin’ new band The Showdown.
Coming together from the far reaches of British Columbia and Alberta, Canada, the band currently calls the road its home. Hitting the highway hard for 8 months of solid touring this year, The Showdown will be joining Miss Quincy for her 3rd tour of the UK and Europe as well as a cross Canada tour that will include many appearances on summer festival stages.
This is Miss Quincy’s second visit to Celtic Music Radio.
Homeward Bound with Bill Morris and Miss Quincy, Monday 2 April from 3.30pm – 6.00pm.
