The Celtic Music Radio outside broadcast crew will make the one hour
sailing on the Cal-Mac ferry to Brodick on the Isle of Arran for this weekend’s 19th Arran Folk Festival.
We will be broadcasting live from the Ormidale and Douglas hotels on Saturday and Sunday.
Danny Matheson, Sandy Pratt and Alex Jenkins will be on Arran to report live, chat to performers, guests and visitors.
The 19th Isle of Arran Folk Festival starts on Thursday 6 June at 7.30pm with the Welcoming Concert in Brodick Hall, Brodick, Isle of Arran featuring the Angus Nicolson Trio, Jim Hunter & Graham Flett, Alana MacInness & Caitlin McNeill.
Friday 7 June: 12-5pm – Open Session, Douglas Hotel, Brodick, free admission; 7.30pm – Concert, Brodick Hall featuring Cera Impala & The New Prohibition, Ronnie Costley & Alasdair Kennedy and the Linzi Murphy Trio.
Saturday 8 June: 12-5pm – Open Session, Ormidale Hotel, Brodick. free admission; 7.30pm – Concert, Brodick Hall featuring Alan Frew & Mark Rafferty and the headline act Ross Ainslie Trio.
Sunday 9 June: 12-5pm – Open Session, Douglas Hotel, Brodick – free admission; 7.30pm – Ceilidh & Concert, Brodick Hall featuring Kilbride Ceilidh Band plus Tyde; 9.30pm – Final Session at the Ormidale Hotel, Brodick – free admission.
