Savannah & Charlie are two of 2018 Danny finalists . Savannah been playing Irish music for over ten years and is influenced by both Irish and Scottish styles and is accompanied by Charlie Galloway, Lancaster born, RCS Glasgow student. He has similar style interests and they travel in Ireland a lot and also have played in Germany together.
As well as the DKOS showcase at Celtic Connections they will be appearing at The Drygate Brewery on 19th Jan along with The Gary Innes Band

The Mammals are Ruth Ungar, Mike Merenda and a cohort of compelling collaborators who form a touring quintet on the fiddle, banjo, guitar, organ, bass, and drums. They bring indie grit, earthy soul, and boldly political stringband attitude to the stage – and a solid gold pedigree that has been earned for all the right reasons. The Mammals – current release, Sunshiner is earning them lots of praise – are determined to raise social awareness, have a good party and bring people together to a place of joy-inspired positivity

Drawing deeply from folk and blues, modern poets and philosophers, Chris Smithers’ road-worn voice, artful lyrics and electrifying guitar have carved him out as a total one-off. From his first album ‘I’m A Stranger Too!’ in 1971 – to his current 17 album ‘Call Me Luck’ . Tonight he’ll be performing songs from his newest release Call Me Lucky, as well as digging deep into his back catalogue of favourites. “Call Me Lucky careens confidently from lowdown acoustic blues to spry folk rock, riffing and jangling with a sense of urgency and purpose.” Uncut UK
