Liam Stewart – As Promised

Liam Stewart, from Galston, is a popular and highly regarded musician, and is a driving force in modern Scottish Dance Band scene generally.

Liam is joined on his brand new album – As Promised – with Leonard Brown (2nd Box), Craig Paton (Keys) and Gordon Smith (Drums).

“This project has been many years in the making; during which, great friendships have been formed and musical ideas explored; with much fun and laughter along the way! Having previously indicated that an album was ‘in the pipeline’, and being asked more about it during our debut Take The Floor broadcast, I confirmed that plans were in place for us to get into the studio! – hence the album title, “As Promised”.

We have had a lot of great advice and support over the years, both as individuals and, more recently, as a band. We really appreciate this and hope this album ‘ticks a box’ for everyone. I was keen to highlight our ability to play a variety of music for listening and dancing, featuring a measured selection of traditional and contemporary compositions, which we hope accurately represents what we do in a ‘live’ setting. It is only right that I express my sincere thanks to each of the band members for their friendship, musicianship, and for making every musical engagement an enjoyable experience, not least this album recording.

Final thanks go to family and friends, without whose encouragement and support over the years, this project might still be ‘in the pipeline!’.
