This Tuesday, 24 May, Travels With My Auntie Liz at 8.00 to 10pm will have in the studio Jamie Smith of The Long Notes. The band have Scottish dates during the last week in May on Monday 23rd at Stirling Folk Club ; on Wednesday 25th at Hootanny, Inverness; Thursday 26th at Leith Folk Club, Leith.
The Long Notes are Jamie Smith on fiddle (pictured) who has had many years on the Scottish folk scene, both as a solo artist and groups like Beneche and has been based in London for a few years and is a much sought after musician. The band also features Colette O’Leary on accordion from Galway in Ireland and an original member of the Bumblebees; Brian Kelly on banjo/mandolin who is London based and recent addition is our own Ewan Robertson on guitar and vocals who is a Young Trad Musician of The Year and member of Braebach to name but a few of his collaborations.
