The 2013 Glasgow Americana Festival gets underway on Wednesday 2 October with a host of artists appearing at venues across Glasgow city centre.
On Wednesday 2 October Homeward Bound between 4.00-6.00pm, Bill Morris will have a chat with Israel Nash Gripka who returns to the city for a show at the 02 ABC2, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow on the opening night of Glasgow Americana.
With a new album coming, “‘Israel Nash’s Rain Plans’” the follow-up to the terrific “Barn Doors and Concrete Floors,” Israel is set to win even more fans in Scotland with earth roots rock tunes and strong vocals that have brought comparisons to the famous Johns, Fogerty and Mellencamp, or The Stones in prime country pomp.
Israel’s music gloriously represents all that’s good about Americana with classic rock ‘n roll grit thrown in.
