Hogmanay Special Live At Braehead

Celtic Music Radio is hosting a live, four-hour Hogmanay show from Braehead Shopping Centre with a sparkling line-up of guests.

Starting at midday, the station will see out the final afternoon of the year with great music, chat and fun with a team of presenters all rarin’ to go.

Taking to the stage will be:

• Bluegrass aces Allan and Louise Mairs

• Stylish pianist/guitarist, David Mairs •

• Lively folk duo, Hugh Taylor and Moira McCrossan

• Excellent singer Eilidh Grant with fiddle and guitar/bouzouki duo, Fiona Cuthill and Stevie Lawrence.

• Accordion virtuosos, Gary Blair and Robin Johnstone Hyland of the Jimmy Blair Accordion Orchestra

• Accomplished singer/songwriter, Martin Stephen Jones.

We’re pleased to say that Allan, Louise, Hugh and Martin are all station presenters.

Celtic Music Radio merchandise such as caps, beanie hats, shirts and mugs will be on sale.

Chair of the station’s board of directors, Alex Jenkins said: “The ongoing support for the station from Braehead is hugely appreciated and we’re pleased we will be on the precinct for this end-of -year special.

“The outside broadcast is a real team effort but we also need to specially thank one of our volunteers, Sandy Weir, for putting together such a first-class line-up that will give us a grand way to celebrate the last day of 2023 while looking forward brightly to 2024.”
