James Edwyn & Borrowed Band – High Fences Celtic Music Radio’s Album of the Week 4 Nov 2017
Formed in 2013 James Edwyn & The Borrowed Band, this is the keenly anticipated follow up to 2014’s ‘The Tower’ from Glasgow based Americana/Folk Rock/Alt-Country sextet Album released on 6 Oct 2017
“Recorded over the past 18 months between Gorbals Sound Studios and the band’s own studio, the 10-track L.P. sees the band adopting a bigger and slightly harder edged sound without losing their trademark focus on finely crafted songs, arrangements and melodies. With the help of Creative Scotland the band were able to get recording engineer Jim Neilson (Glasvegas, Aidan Moffat) and Aria-nominated mix engineer Adrian Breakspear (Gang of Youths, The Kooks) behind the controls. High Fences showcases a big step forward for the band, both musically and sonically.”
