This week”s Festival Fling comes from last year”s Moniaive Michaelmas Bluegrass Festival.
On show is Scottish talent in the way of Apalachian Mist and Lognway Bluegrass Band. From England but now resident in the USA comes Johnny Butten – the fastest banjo player ever recorded – to date that is!
Just to give you a ‘taster’ of next week”s festival which will run from 28 to 30 September 2012 www.moniaivebluegrass.co.uk/
Appearing at this year”s festival are:-
The Bellinger Famil Band (USA) www.myspace.com/ballingerfamilyband ;
The Knotty Ping Sting Band from Northern Ireland (www.facebook.com/pages/The-Knotty-Pine-String-Band )
Our own New Redwing from Burnside (www.myspace.com/newredwing )

The Down and Out Bluegrass Band from Northern Ireland (www.downandoutbluegrass.com/ )
And many more workshops sessions and general good times to be had in the village of Moniaive in Dumfries-shire next weekend. We would also once again like to thank the organisers for the festival for their very generous donation of two festival tickets and camping to auction for funds for Celtic Music Radio Radiothon fundraiser.
Recorded by www.sounsesse.biz – our thanks once again to John Weatherby & Kris Korne
