My own tribute to two of the ‘great characters’ of Scottish Folk Music  Hamish Imlach (1940 -1996) and Ian Campbel l (1933 – 24 Nov 2012)

Ian sadly passed away this week and was recognised for ‘his outstanding contribution to traditional music’ by Radio 2 Folk Awards this year.  While Hamish will be inducted into he ‘Hall of Fame’ and the Trad Awards in Fort William on Saturday 8 December.  Two giants that will for ever leave their mark on the ‘Folk Scene’ and beyond.
