Festival Fling on the final Saturday of the year brings you Skipinnish from the Killin Music Festival of 2016

The comeback to the Festival Circuit of the renowned Killin Music Festival in 2016 was welcomed by one and all. (16-18 th June 2017 )A fantastic weekend of music for their first year back was full on.
Once of the bands who kicked up a storm was Skipinnish – with a debut new line up including for the first time Norrie MacIver and back the wonderful fiddler the renowned Archie McAllister gives us two fantastic sets – just the right note for an early Hogmanay Party on Celtic Music Radio!
Angus MacPhail and Andrew Stevenson met while studying at what is now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and originally formed the band with a mission to champion classic Scottish Highland West Coast music.
They built a solid reputation as a musical powerhouse over several years with their exhilarating live performances that set audience’s feet stomping in venue after venue.
With well-received release of their stunning 2014 CD Western Ocean to add to their previous releases and new music in the pipeline they are a group not to be missed!
The line up consists of Angus MacPhail on accordion, Andrew Stevenson on bagpipes / whistles, Norrie MacIver on lead vocals, Jonathan Gillespie on Keyboard, Alasdair Murray on pipes and drums and drummer Rory Grindlay.
