Back West Music

Maureen Browne / Brendan Browne / Pete Vickers  Fabian Joyce

Back West are the full Irish: a four-piece of young exponents, filled to the brim with the music and soul of the west of Ireland. Reared in the heart of Galway city and county, their music celebrates the historically and culturally rich environment in which they were nurtured as children.
Their stage show is a winning combination of traditional, sassy, modern, technically perfect and musically inspiring, delivered with tremendous and rampant energy.  The highly regarded musical siblings, Maureen and Brendan Browne, on fiddle and accordion respectively, join Lord of the Dance Peter Vickers on hand and foot percussion. To add to this powerful mix is lead guitar and vocalist Fabian Joyce.

Zelton in the Kailyard

Roddy Johnston & Kate Badcock

Zetor in the Kailyard are an Angus based duo consisting of two multi-instrumentalists Roddy Johnston and Kate Badcock Their music–combines music technology and acoustic instruments…their live loops create colour, texture and a full sound, drawing on many different styles of music from punk to traditional, and inspired by dance music from all over the world, whilst at the heart of it is the traditional music of the British Isles that they know and love…

zetor in the kailyard evolved when kate badcock and roddy johnston began playing together in pubs around scotland in 2012. the bands sound grew as they began to explore the possibilities of including music technology, primarily through the use of looping to enhance their performance and give them a greater sound pallet to play around with. The band was launched in 2014, and since then they have played to audiences across scotland, touring regularly in europe and england. in 2017 they made their debut appearance at belladrum festival, whilst their debut album, “collateral” was recorded in the winter of 2016
