She started writing my own songs when she was in my early teens and has been part of several musical groups over the years.
Anna was in an electro-pop band for 2-3 years called Go Wolf where she sang harmonies and played synth. This is really where she got the bug for performing and gained a lot of confidence playing in venues across Northern Ireland and in Dublin. Thier biggest gig was at Tennent’s Vital supporting Bastille and The Killers. They were also part of a young-musicians development programme called Scratch My Progress linked with the Oh Yeah Centre in Belfast.
After starting university in Aberdeen she began developing her own songs and covers at open mics and bars.
She has played folk music accompanying her parents since shewas in school however she really began to explore that world for herself towards the end of university and started creating her own versions of traditional songs she had learnt from her parents.
She released her own EP (Sparks) of 4 self-penned songs in December 2016 and BBC Radio Ulster Across The Line chose Sparks as track of the week.
Since moving to Glasgow she has formed a band of fiddle, bass and percussion to accompany her own songs with the plan to release new music in early 2020. She also performed at the Killin Festival Open Stage 2019.
