Laurence Made Me Cry  — Inverness     Listen Again 24th Jo Whitby - laurence made me cry
Is folk-pop songstress Jo Whitby, currently based in the Highlands of Scotland. There’s an odd familiarity about Whitby’s music. Her songs bring with them a sense of timelessness and warmth like meeting up with an old friend. Her debut album ‘The Diary Of Me’ gained support from the likes of BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music as well as picking up a Welsh Music Prize nomination in 2013. Currently working on her second album ‘Titans’ Daughters’, the record will feature guest contributions from artists such as Rachel Sermanni and Andrew Montgomery.

24th The Deadly WintersThe Deadly Winters – Edinburgh     Listen Again 
The Deadly Winters bring to the stage an emotive musicality that goes beyond an ordinary performance. The well-constructed melodies and songs of stories allow each song and performance to relate to and involve the listener and audience. Theyhave raised people’s awareness and expectations of how Folk-Music continues to advance with the times.The band enjoy their time on stage and they look to bring everyone along on the journey with them A new 4 song EP, “Table In The Corner”  in November 2015.

 Beth Swan – Isle of Bute 24th Beth Swan correct  Listen Again 
Is a 15 year old singer songwriter who has been singing since the age of 9! Has recently taken up the guitar and piano as well as developing her songwriting. She has raised over £1300 for charity by busking round town center’s and one of her own releases as a charity single raising over £300 for the Moira Anderson Foundation. Also performed at the revived Bute Festival

24th CraicteLeisCraicte Leis  – Glasgow  –  Listen Again 
Are a folk group made up of a few close friends who are pupils and former pupils of Sgoil Ghaidhlig Ghlaschu.  paying traditional instruments   They have been playing together in different groups in the school over the last couple of years and last year Craicte Leis was formed to play at the Ceolraidh Gaidhlig Ghlaschu annual fundraising event.  Have played at music festivals across Scotland including the National Mod and The Highlands and Islands Music Festival.  Recently we had a slot on Celtic music radio.  They come from a range of musical backgrounds including classical, traditional Scottish, pop, rock and Jazz.

 Elia Davidson  – Dumfries  –  Listen Again 24th Eila Davidson
Is  15 years old and has been writing songs for a few years now – mainly on guitar and occasionally on piano – achieving success in a few songwriting competitions, e.g. finalist in Scottish finals of Big Music Project; winner of Amnesty International Youth Awards Songwriting competition in London. Has also performed live at a number of festivals, in past year performing sets at Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival, at Youth Beatz and at Merchant City Festival in Glasgow. As well as gaining  further live experience, gigging around local music scene in Dumfries .Four of her songs will be released on debut EP early in 2016.
