Have been playing together for three years, honing their collective skills on fiddle and guitar to form a dazzling duo. they also part of the heralded Orkney Folk: The Gathering as well as many other individual projects .With an EP in the pipeline, drawing from their repertoire of Orcadian, Scottish, Irish and Canadian tunes, expect a well-crafted, fiery performance from these young masters.
From Sunderland is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter taps the strings and beats the guitar’s body to create an intricate spectacle, together with an original and unique sound integral to his songs. With an extremely busy summer season round the festivals and gigging from Inverary to London he has managed to record a new EP which will be out soon.
All-female four-piece are a rich cultural mix of Scottish, Gaelic and English music, self-penned tunes, and songs and tunes, haunting harmonies and weaving melody lines. An exciting and unique sound. Lana Elaine from Shetland on piano and accordion, Louise Bichan from Orkney on fiddle, singer Ceitlin Smith from Lewis, accordionist Gemma Telfer from Northumberland. Hard to believe their first public gig was at The Danny Kyle Open Stage in January this year. They have been very busy during the summer gigging as well as in the recording studios.
