On the Ciaran Dorris Sunday Session this week is Bryony White from ‘Canine Partners’, a charity which teaches dogs to help disabled people with their day-to-day chores.
Ciaran’s ‘castaway’ Bryony will tell Ciaran about the work of Canine Partners who estimated that around 100,000 people in Scotland are wheelchair users and a significant number of those could benefit from a canine partner. Canine Partners have currently have two puppy satellites in Scotland – one in Stirling and the other in Ayrshire – training puppies to help more people with disabilities.
Canine Partners, is expanding its operation in Scotland and a vital part of that expansion is the recruitment of more volunteers in the Stirling area to look after their puppies for up to a year until they are ready to move into advanced training.
For further information about becoming a puppy parent, please contact Bryony White on 07504 229514 or visit the Canine Partners website.
