Award-winning acoustic duo Taylor & Leigh effortlessly blend country and blues to create warming and compelling songs blessed with soulful tones.
Siblings, Heather and Alex have overcome the difficulties of distanced song writing during a pandemic to come up with an album – a follow-up to the excellent Nashville Sessions – where Heather’s angelic vocals and Alex’s superb guitar playing are breath taking, forming sounds that just cannot be ignored.
Stripped back or with a fuller sound, the tracks on Late Night Conversations’ yield a beguiling intimacy that the duo reveal are about their “respective pasts and the journeys taken” throughout their lives up to this point while some of the songs are about new possibilities and growth.
In the album development process, they were pleased when the music and lyrics started to flow with songs beginning to form out of the unique situation they were in.
This is a terrific record that confirms Taylor & Leigh’s musical strengths and inventiveness, their passion and their undoubted talents as song writers and musicians.
