The review of the 2013 Albums of the Week continues on Monday featuring the CD from Mànran called “The Test”.

Mànran members Garry Innes and Norrie MacIver talk to Sandy Pratt about the album and Mànran’s music plus tracks from the album which was released on the 3 June 2013.

Mànran began their assentation into the traditional music sphere in 2010 when six friends used a powerful combination of Gaelic and English songs with accordion, fiddle, flute and a delicious mix of drum and bass to create an infectious and recognisable sound. Also, the only band to use Highland and Uilleann pipes in one lineup, Mànran began to cement themselves as one of the most exciting young groups on the folk circuit.
