This week’s Celtic Music Radio Album of the Week is from Peter Nardini and is called ‘Sixtysix’.
Sixtysix is a new album of songs in which Peter focuses his artist’s eye and his songwriter’s ear on his usual concerns of love, loss and longing set against the inevitable process of growing up and growing older.
Peter Nardini is a graduate of The Glasgow School of Art where he won the Cargil Award.
He has been awarded The Amsterdam Residency by the Scottish Arts Council, The Paisley Art Institute award, The Ann Redpath Award by the Scottish Society of Artists among many others.
He is a regular exhibitor in the RGI, Glasgow; RSA, SAAC, Edinburgh; Paisley Art Institute and small galleries across Scotland as well as the Thomson Gallery, London, and Richmond Fine Art Gallery, Surrey.
His work is held in public collections at the Scottish Arts Council and Lanarkshire Education Collection as well as in private collections in Europe and USA.
His music has always gone hand in hand with his art and he has released four albums to date.
Celtic Music Radio 95FM will be playing tracks all this week, commencing Saturday 7 March 2015, from his new album ‘Sixtysix’.
