The Celtic Music Radio Album of the Week commencing Saturday 5 April is a new CD from singer-songwriter Billy Stewart with ‘May I Walk In Your Shadow’ which is a memorial for his son Gordon and a fundraiser for Leukemia & Lymphoma Research into blood cancer.
Ross Macfadyen talks to Billy about this fundraising CD album which includes tracks from some top names.
This is a 19 track CD featuring tracks from Billy Stewart, Allan Taylor, Eric Bogle, The McCalmans, Robin Laing, John Malcolm, Ben Sands, Gaberlunzie, Tom McConville, Adam McCulloch, Duncan McCrone, Jamie Stewart, Clova, Alistair MacDonald, North Sea Gas, Ian Walker, Ian Bruce, Stephen Quigg and The Clydesiders.
Billy Stewart is from Overtown, Wishaw, Lanarkshire and lost his son Gordon, aged 32 in July 2012 after a three year battle with Hodgkin’s disease.
