The Celtic Music Radio Album of the Week commencing 25 August is the new release from MacMaster/Hay called ‘Hook’.  The CD is officially launched on 17 September 2012.

Macmaster/Hay are releasing their second CD recording ‘Hook’ to an eager audience.  Their first CD, ‘Love and Reason’, released in November 2009, received glowing reviews and was included in the fRoots best new albums playlist.

From heavy dub bass lines to bowed harmonics and milk-frother trills Macmaster/Hay are taking the harp into uncharted territory.  Add to this Mary Macmaster’s beautifully pure vocal and Donald Hay’s cool grooves, atmospheric percussion and sampled sounds and the result is a truly unique, fresh take on Scotland’s musical landscape.
