Malinky formed in the autumn of 1998 and have had several band changes the current band being is situ for around 10 to 15 years! Previous members have included Karine Polwart (1998–2005) /Leo McCann (2001–2005) /Kit Patterson (1998–2001) /Jon Bews (2001–2008) /Ewan MacPherson (2004–2007) /David Wood (2007–2012) /Daniel Thorpe (guest fiddler 2010–2011)and were one of the first artists to be awarded a Danny at the first Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections 1999- signing with the world renowned Greentrax label as well as winning ‘Scottish Folk Band of The Year’ at The Scots Trad Music Awards in 2010.They have built up a worldwide reputation for excellence and an ever increasing fan base along the way.
This is their 6th album ( Last Leaves (2000) / 3 Ravens (2002) / The Unseen Hours (2005) / Flower & Iron (2008)Far Better Days (2015)) Including new songs and tunes as well as old favourites.
