Tunnocks Tune In To Sponsor Station At Celtic Connections

Celtic Music Radio has attracted one of its best-ever sponsorship deals from an internationally known company.
Tunnocks, the Uddingston-based, family-run confectionery business, is sponsoring the popular community radio station’s live coverage of Celtic Connections next year.
The award-winning Scottish company, whose products such as caramel wafers, teacakes and caramel logs in their distinctive wrappings are enjoyed globally, has signed up for this exclusive arrangement.
The 2025 Celtic Connections’ festival gets under way on January 16 and runs through to February 2 – and Celtic Music Radio will be broadcasting live each and every day from Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.
Sales Director of Tunnock’s, Fergus Loudon, said: “ We’re happy to be associated with Celtic Music Radio and their coverage of the Celtic Connection’ festival.
“In the cold, dark days of winter it’s great to see Scotland’s largest city so bright and alive with talent from around the world.
“It fairly puts a smile on lots of faces. We like to think that our biscuits do that too, so we’re well matched.”
Chair of the station’s board of directors, Alex Jenkins, welcomed Tunnocks’ decision as a ‘real boost’ for Celtic Music Radio, which is run by volunteers.
“Tunnocks is a company known and respected worldwide for the quality of its confectionery so to have their support is a real boost, one we value highly,” said Alex.
“Once again, we will be at the heart of Celtic Connections broadcasting 150 hours of programmes specifically related to the festival with more than 90 hours of live shows from the Royal Concert Hall. These will include the Danny Kyle Open Stage sessions that play to a full house each evening.
“We will also broadcast live concerts from Glasgow Caledonian University’s Connections On Campus featuring top student talent, while normal round-the-clock schedules will run uninterrupted as well.
“To have Tunnocks’ sponsorship for the first time is terrific and we are grateful for their decision to become involved with us.”
