Congratulations to Celtic Connections on the launch of their 2025 festival, running from January 16 until February 2.
It’s another terrific line-up and we are pleased to confirm that, once again, the hugely popular Danny Kyle Open Stage (DKOS) will be a major feature of Connections’ programme.
Finalists of 2024 will take to the stage at the glittering, opening showcase on Saturday, January 18, with the DKOS then running until February 2, 2025.
Applications are now open for those wishing to take part and acts can apply online here: https://dkos.co.uk/dkos-2025-application-form/
Those who are successful will be notified by January 10, 2025.
Liz Clark – aka Auntie Liz – producer, presenter and trustee of DKOS said: “I’m also delighted to announce that the show will be broadcast live yet again by the DKOS media partners Celtic Music Radio.”
Liz pointed out that there is no remuneration for appearing on the DKOS – it is a FREE event held each night to a packed audience in the Exhibition Hall in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall from 5 pm till 7 pm.

Alex Jenkins, chair of the station’s board of directors, said: “Being involved in a world-famous festival such as Celtic Connections is something all of us at Celtic Music Radio look forward to.
“The DKOS goes from strength to strength and broadcasting the shows live every evening means we are at the heart of the festival.
“Our technical team and presenters do a brilliant job at the DKOS so listeners are in for a treat once more given the quality of all the acts.”
