Esther Rose – Special Guest On The Mike Ritchie On Sunday Show

It’s fair to say that Esther Rose’s recent UK tour was a huge success and on the day of her final show in Glasgow, the New Mexico-based singer-songwriter took time to team up with Mike Ritchie to record an interview and play a couple of tracks live in our studios at Braehead.

The results can be heard this weekend on the award-winning Mike Ritchie On Sunday Show between 4 and 6 pm.

Esther’s most recent album, 2023’s ‘Safe To Run’ appealed to many with one review stating: “It is musically and lyrically matched to perfection – an album that’s a real repeat listener.”

“I met Esther for the first time 12 months ago this weekend at a show at the legendary 5 Spot in East Nashville but never for a moment thought she would be my guest here, so it was a brilliant surprise,” said Mike, who has been featuring Esther’s music on his show for the past few years.

“She writes heartfelt songs, performs them with real feeling and style, and is as sparkling an interviewee as you could hope for.

“She’s interesting and charming, funny and engaging so it was a real deal pleasure to put this session together for the show.”
