Firelight Trio, who play inventive and endlessly exciting folk music, release their self-titled album at Celtic Connections this week (January 25.)
Ruth Morris, Gavin Marwick and Phil Alexander will join Liz Clark – Auntie Liz – for a chat on the show this evening (January 24.)
The trio, with driving fiddle and gorgeous nyckelharpa meeting deep accordion grooves, serve up a rich tapestry of lively Swedish polkas and Scottish reels, lilting French waltzes, toe-tapping klezmer, dazzling original tunes and more.
