Celtic Music Radio is welcoming the Godfather of Rock, Tom Russell to its broadcasting team.
With a celebrated 40-year career in radio, Tom will present a two-hour show every Thursday from 10 pm to midnight, starting this week (June 2.)
“It will be great to be back on air again,” said Tom. “While Zeppelin, Skynyrd and AC/DC will feature on my playlists there will also be new and upcoming bands from Scotland and elsewhere as I like that kind of mix.
“The station has a great reputation for quality schedules and programmes, and giving air time to new music, so I’m looking forward to my shows with them.”
Alex Jenkins, chair of the station’s board of directors, said that Tom was a legendary broadcaster and having him as a presenter was a real coup.
“Tom Russell is synonymous with radio rock music programmes and his arrival adds to the range of shows we are putting out,” said Alex. “There is no doubt our quality levels rise even further with Tom’s arrival.”
